Community Dance Project & Tanz Workshops Gößl 16.-20.Juli 2017

Artist in Residency - Community Dance Project // SUMMER ESCAPE

In 2017 Int. Bühnenwerkstatt, the international Dance Theatre Festival of Graz/Austria, will take place for the 26th time. Its long and rich tradition is reason enough to try out something new: After the well-known workshops and performances in the city of Graz we are going to the Styrian country side for our very own summer escape. In the breathtaking surroundings of the Salzkammergut, at Veithwiese in Gössl/Grundlsee, we will set up an open-air dance floor: Right next to the lake, with a wonderful mountain view.

Starting with an opening night of performance on the 16th of July, you will then have the opportunity to train contemporary and urban dance forms with exciting, international artists for four days: Contemporary Dance, Ballett, Nature Moves, Contemporary African Dance.

We especially recommend the project „Nature Moves“ lead by Do-Theatre founder Evgeny Kozlov. You will be experimenting with dancing and choreographing from the work with different materials (such as paper, plastic etc.) and your immediate surroundings.

A perfect combination of dance training, networking and holiday feeling!

From today onwards professional dancers and performers can apply for the Artist-in-Residency Community Project, which entails a full stipend of training costs from the 17th to the 20th July. Applicants will be responsible for organizing and paying for travel and accomodation. Nevertheless the festival has reserved several spaces at a nearby camping site.

Please apply as soon as possible with your current CV to!
